Her philosophy is that today's fashion should influence, not dictate hair styling and color choices. She feels that her background education in both fine arts and advanced hair color techniques is a perfect balance. It enables her to work with an individual's facial shape and skin tone through the use of hair color to create a hair style for any fashion. She continues to expand her knowledge by taking classes from the industry's best in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles.

Jennifer Munyer is one of our massage therapists whose focus is on personal awareness and realization through bodywork. She holds the belief that all emotional experiences are stored in the body’s musculature, and that by working to find more comfort in the body, these past emotional experiences can be transformed, allowing the client to deeply heal old wounds and move towards a holistic perspective of their life. She was licensed and trained in Gainesville, Florida in therapeutic modalities such as Swedish, Connective (deep) Tissue, Neuromuscular, Sports, and Polarity Therapy. She also received training in the first level of Hugh Milne’s Visionary Cranial Sacral Therapy. Jen’s style of training is unique to this part of the country; she offers mindful, conscious touch to each client she works with. Massage is another way of helping a person increase their inner sense of awareness, which can lead to a more full understanding and acceptance of self. As opposed to forming her own agenda for the session, Jen allows her client’s body to lead her to the places it is holding tension, and then listens to the client’s body for how it would like to release. Her training also includes several years of yoga, meditation and breath work and more recently she has been training with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She combines her knowledge of the anatomic and energetic bodies to create a well-balanced, client-centered session.

She believes it is important to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle and to stay as active as possible. By being a competitive athlete through life, she trusts she can better understand the kinesiology of body mechanics and the physical stress the body may endure on a daily basis. She has not only worked with Olympic athletes, but also those who are just searching for simple relaxation. She enjoys working with her clients, allowing them to create their own individualized session depending on their needs. When not seeing clients in Maine, she can usually be found surfing in the warm waters of exotic places, finding peace and inspiration through her art or just hiking with her dog Lucy.
